Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX) followed through on his vow to submit articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on the first working day of the 118th Congress by doing so. The articles of impeachment against Mayorkas were located in House Resolution 8 for the deeds of “high crimes and misdemeanors.” The resolution was referred to Judiciary Committee on Monday.
The House Republicans, who will soon take control of the chamber, have already clarified that illegal immigration and border security will be among the first items on their agenda once they assume power early in 2023.
Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency was created in 2018 by former President Trump. The purpose of the agency was to improve the cybersecurity defenses of other U.S. federal agencies. The Daily Caller reports that former Trump administration officials claim the Biden administration is using the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to restrict speech it deems dangerous on social media and spy on Americans.
