Robbery Charges Filed Against Michigan Truck Drivers for Violent Comic Book Store Incident

Feasterville, Pennsylvania – Two truck drivers from Michigan are facing charges for the violent robbery of a Bucks County comic book store in September 2022, as reported by the county’s district attorney’s office. 22-year-old Zackery Maximus Tucker and 35-year-old Caleb James-Lorenze Simpson were identified as the suspects in the robbery.

Tucker was arraigned on charges of robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, and other related crimes. He is currently being held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $300,000 bail, 10%. Simpson, on the other hand, is in custody in Michigan pending extradition to Pennsylvania.

The robbery took place at the Comic Collection store in the Feasterville section of Lower Southampton Township, where the suspects attacked the 61-year-old owner. The victim was found tied up and beaten inside the store when officers arrived at the scene. The suspects posed as customers before assaulting the owner.

During the robbery, one suspect wore a black hooded sweatshirt while the other wore a red “Deadpool” t-shirt. They requested assistance from the owner to reach merchandise on a high shelf, but then proceeded to knock him off a ladder, beat him, and threaten him with a knife. The suspects then stole various items from the store before fleeing.

After investigating the area around the store, officials found clothing worn by the suspects and the stolen merchandise. Surveillance footage revealed identifying features of one of the suspects, leading to a tip received by the Lower Southampton Police Department in December 2023 linking Simpson and Tucker to the robbery.

Further investigation and evidence analyzed by the Pennsylvania State Police crime lab connected Simpson to the Comic Collection robbery in February 2024. Authorities were able to confirm the involvement of both suspects in the violent robbery of the comic book store through detailed forensic analysis and surveillance evidence.

The owner of the store suffered significant injuries during the robbery and was left traumatized by the violent incident. The arrests of Tucker and Simpson bring some closure to the case and serve as a reminder of the vigilance needed to combat violent crimes in the community.
