The National Weather Service confirmed at least eight tornadoes had touched down in Ohio, with Logan County experiencing an EF-3 tornado near Orchard Island and additional tornadoes in Licking and Mercer counties.

Reports of a “mass casualty event” emerged in Washington Township, with Mary Rutan Hospital treating several patients for weather-related injuries. The unprecedented scale of destruction left police chief Michael Thompson in shock, describing the scene as chaotic and heart-wrenching.
