COLUMBUS, Ga. – Tragedy struck at a prom after-party in Columbus, Georgia, as a 17-year-old boy lost his life in a fatal shooting early Sunday morning. Bryson Cochran, a senior at Central High School, fell victim to the senseless violence that erupted amidst the festivities.
According to a neighborhood resident, Rodger Suggs, chaos ensued at the party following the prom, where a large gathering of teenagers celebrated. Suggs recalled the harrowing moment when the sound of gunshots pierced the air, with nearly a hundred shots ringing out in rapid succession.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan revealed that approximately 100 individuals were present at the party when tragedy struck. Authorities were alerted to the incident just before 1 a.m., responding to reports of a shooting and a subsequent fatality.
