Suspected Long Island Serial Killer Lawyer Defends Graphic Internet Searches

NEW YORK – The attorney for suspected serial killer Rex Heuermann, Michael Brown, has responded to allegations about his client’s disturbing internet search history. Prosecutors claimed they found a series of violent and pornographic search terms on his devices under the pseudonym “Thomas Hawk.”

The searches included terms such as “torture redhead porn,” “chubby 10 year old girl crying,” and “Asian twink tied up,” among others. Heuermann is accused of killing four women whose remains were found in 2010, and the search history has been presented as evidence against him.

Brown has downplayed the significance of the search history, saying that people often search for various things out of curiosity and that the search history does not make Heuermann guilty. He also questioned the new DNA evidence presented by prosecutors and revealed that detectives had been surveilling his client for a year and a half before his arrest in 2023.

The district attorney, Ray Tierney, emphasized the importance of advancements in DNA testing and confirmed that the investigation into the other bodies found on Long Island will continue.

Heuermann, who has pleaded not guilty, faces multiple charges and remains in custody without bail. The case has raised questions and concerns within the community, and the attorney’s defense of his client’s internet search history has sparked controversy and debate.

Despite the mounting evidence and allegations against him, Heuermann continues to maintain his innocence. Meanwhile, the community remains on edge as the case against the suspected serial killer unfolds.
