CHARLOTTE, North Carolina – A series of deadly shootings in Charlotte has left residents shaken as the city grapples with a violent start to the week. In just 12 hours, five shootings occurred across different areas of the city, leaving one person dead and several others injured.

In one of the shootings, 24-year-old Joshua Howze lost his life, while another victim remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The CMPD has not released more information on the shooting or those involved.
