San Mateo, California – A tragic incident has left a former Meta engineer, his data scientist wife, and their two 4-year-old twins dead in their $2.1 million California home. Police are investigating the incident as a murder-suicide.
Anand Sujith Henry, 37, allegedly killed his sons and fatally shot his wife, Alice Benzinger, 38, in a bathtub before turning the gun on himself, sources told local media outlets.
The couple was found dead inside the house with gunshot wounds, with a 9mm pistol and a loaded magazine found in one of the bathrooms. Their two sons were found dead in one of the five bedrooms.
Authorities have not released a cause of death for the children, but sources familiar with the investigation said it is believed that the boys were either smothered, strangled, or given a lethal overdose.

According to court records, Henry had previously filed for divorce from Benzinger in 2016, but the divorce did not materialize. The couple moved into their San Mateo home in 2020, where they were raising their two children.
