Shooting Tragedy Unfolds in Killeen, Resulting in Fatal Self-Inflicted Gunshot in Lampasas County

Killeen, Texas – Authorities in Killeen, Texas, along with the Copperas Cove Police Department and the Lampasas County Sheriff’s Department, are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic shooting incident. The incident resulted in the death of one individual, while the suspect responsible for the shooting ultimately took their own life in Lampasas County.

The Killeen Police Department received a call and immediately dispatched officers to the 6300 block of Taree Loop in southwest Killeen after reports of gunshots were heard. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with gunshot wounds, but the suspect had already fled the scene. However, the suspected shooter later contacted 911 to report the incident, providing crucial information to the authorities.

Subsequently, the Copperas Cove Police Department located the suspect’s vehicle and initiated a traffic stop in Lampasas County.
