The Metropolitan Police Department reported that the shooting occurred around 3 am near the intersection of 7th and P Street Northwest, near the Kennedy Recreation Center.

During a press briefing, Metropolitan Police Executive Assistant Chief Jeffrey Carroll stated that all the victims were adults and had been transported to local hospitals. As of now, their conditions remain unknown. The authorities have not yet made any arrests or named any suspects in connection with the case.

Chief Carroll urged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist the Metropolitan Police Department in their investigation. The motive behind the shooting and the identity of the shooter are still unclear. The incident unfolded just blocks away from the White House, shaking the local community.

Meanwhile, in a separate and unrelated incident in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, a man identified as Andre Gordon was apprehended after allegedly killing three individuals in two different homes. The 26-year-old suspect then carjacked a driver and fled towards New Jersey. Fortunately, no one else was injured in this violent spree.

Authorities reported that Gordon shot his 52-year-old stepmother and 13-year-old sister in their home before targeting other individuals in a different location. Despite the tragic events, the swift action of law enforcement led to Gordon’s capture without any further harm. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing as authorities work to uncover the motives behind these senseless acts of violence.
