Serial Killer John Robinson Convicted and Sentenced to Death for Gruesome Crimes

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – In 2000, authorities apprehended John Robinson after the remains of two women were discovered on his rural property in Linn County, south of Kansas City. The case gained national and international attention due to the brutal nature of the crimes. Robinson was found to be linked to the gruesome killings of at least eight women, with investigators revealing that he killed these women in a similar fashion and was in a master-slave relationship with the victims.

In June 2000, Robinson was charged with the murders of the five women, and two years later, he was put on trial. The prosecution team presented significant evidence against him, leading to a guilty verdict in 2002. Robinson was ultimately sentenced to death in January 2003 and is currently on death row at the El Dorado Correctional Facility, as reported by Heavy.

Robinson’s capture in June 2000 came after two women revealed to investigators that they had met him in local hotels, where they engaged in “sadomasochistic sex.” However, Robinson assaulted the women and robbed them. The police arrested Robinson and conducted searches of his properties, leading to the discovery of the remains of additional women. It was also reported that Robinson sent letters or emails to the family members of his victims, attempting to inform them of the victims’ demise late. Robinson was charged for killing three women and was found guilty in 2022.

The disturbing case of John Robinson was also featured on A&E’s documentary series, “Cold Case Files,” shedding light on the chilling details of the investigation and trial. The capture and conviction of Robinson serve as a sobering reminder of the heinous crimes committed and the importance of law enforcement’s relentless pursuit of justice for victims and their families.
