Nassau County Brothers Arrested After Violent Machete Attack in Long Island Hotel Parking Lot

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. – In a shocking turn of events, a dispute between a pair of brothers and another individual in a Long Island hotel parking lot escalated into a violent machete attack. The incident took place at the Hicksville Days Inn on South Oyster Bay Road, where the altercation unfolded on Friday morning just before 11 a.m.

Nassau County Police reported that the confrontation quickly turned physical when 21-year-old Jelony Conze deliberately struck the victim with his vehicle, a 2005 Nissan Altima. Subsequently, Conze exited the car brandishing a machete and proceeded to inflict multiple lacerations on the victim’s hands. Meanwhile, Conze’s brother, 23-year-old Adonin Omhari Conze, joined in by repeatedly punching the victim in the face.

Despite fleeing the scene, the Conze brothers, who authorities described as unhoused, were promptly apprehended in the vicinity and taken into custody. The victim, a 43-year-old male, sustained severe injuries to his hands and other parts of his body during the altercation. Fortunately, he was quickly transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Following their arrest, both brothers faced multiple charges of assault, with the younger Conze sibling also being accused of second-degree attempted murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The pair appeared in Nassau District Court in Hempstead the following day, where they entered pleas of not guilty.

During the court proceedings, bail was set at $100,000 cash, $200,000 insured bond, or $125,000 partially-secured surety bond for Jelony Conze. Meanwhile, Adonin Omhari Conze’s bail was established at $50,000 cash, $100,000 insured bond, or $75,000 partially-secured surety bond. The legal process continues as the investigation into this appalling incident unfolds.
