Killer Urged to Come Forward After Man Shot and Left for Dead on Indy Streets

Indianapolis, Indiana – The family of 28-year-old Robert Woods is calling for justice after he was fatally shot multiple times while riding his bike on the northeast side of the city. The tragic incident occurred on April 26 at 29th and Ralston Avenue, where Woods was found lying in the road next to his bike by a passing driver around 10 p.m. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries two days later.

The devastated family described Robert as a joyful and kind-hearted person who kept to himself, making his senseless killing even more shocking and puzzling. His sister, Travena Woods, recalled his last words to a witness who found him, urging them to call his family. Despite his friendly demeanor, the motive behind his brutal murder remains unknown.

With little information available to police, Robert’s family is urging neighbors and witnesses to come forward with any details that could help solve the case. They are appealing for the perpetrator to turn themselves in and provide answers to why they took Robert’s life in such a violent manner.
