Fatal New Year’s Eve Stabbing Leads to Murder Charges for Philadelphia Woman

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – A 32-year-old woman from Philadelphia has been charged with murder and related charges in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred on New Year’s Eve in a South Philadelphia home.

Rachel Alexander Pisano is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and other related charges after two women were hospitalized with stab wounds on December 31st. The incident took place in a South Sheridan Street home near Oregon Avenue.

Police responded to an assault call at the home around 11:10 p.m. and found two women being driven to the hospital from the location. The deceased victim was identified as 36-year-old Victoria Lynn Dicesare, who succumbed to her injuries after being stabbed in the left thigh. Another 36-year-old woman was also stabbed but was listed in stable condition after being treated for a wound to her right thigh.

According to investigators, the stabbings occurred following an argument that took place when Dicesare and another unidentified woman tried to enter another woman’s home. The two victims pushed the door open and entered the property, leading to a physical altercation with the 32-year-old female homeowner, during which the victims were stabbed.
