‘Bible John’ Serial Killer: Exhumed Body Reveals Chilling Clues into Unsolved Murders of Young Women

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND – The hunt for a serial killer known as ‘Bible John’ has taken a chilling turn, with authorities exhuming a body amid fears that the killer may have claimed more victims than previously believed.

‘Bible John’ is suspected of having killed three young women between 1968 and 1969, leading to a notorious case that remains unsolved to this day. The killer’s terrifying reign of terror has drawn comparisons to Jack the Ripper, who roamed the streets of Victorian London.

One victim, Patricia Docker, a 25-year-old nurse, was found just yards away from her home in Langside Place on February 13, 1968. Another victim, Jemima McDonald, a 31-year-old mother of three, was discovered in an old tenement building on Mackeith Street in Bridgeton on August 15, 1969. Finally, Helen Puttock was found dead in her own back garden later that same year in October.

The killer, who targeted young women frequenting Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom, is thought to have quoted verses from the Bible and condemned adultery while traveling in a taxi with one of his victims. This religious association earned him the nickname ‘Bible John.’

Speculation has swirled around potential suspects over the years, with some individuals having been exhumed and subsequently cleared through DNA testing. However, the case remains unresolved and the families of the victims continue to seek closure.

A police spokesperson stated, “The murders of Helen Puttock, Jemima McDonald, and Patricia Docker remain unresolved. However, as with all unresolved cases, they are subject to review, and any new information about their deaths will be investigated.”

The search for ‘Bible John’ continues, and authorities remain committed to solving this decades-old mystery.
