Mumbai, India: Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has provided a statement to the authorities regarding a violent attack at her family’s residence in Mumbai, where her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, was stabbed multiple times. The incident, which occurred on January 16 in the early hours of the morning, left the celebrity couple deeply shaken.
Kareena described the attacker as very aggressive during the altercation, but despite this, no items, including jewelry, were reported stolen from their home. She recounted how the assailant relentlessly targeted Saif but showed no interest in taking any belongings from the house. The violent clash ensued when Saif bravely confronted the attacker to protect their young son, Jeh. While Saif successfully shielded Jeh from harm, he sustained serious injuries in the process.
Following the attack, Kareena sought refuge at her sister Karisma Kapoor’s home, as she was left terrified by the traumatic events. Meanwhile, the police have launched an extensive search operation involving more than 30 teams to apprehend the assailant, who remains at large. Reports indicate that the intruder also demanded a ransom from the household help, who was injured during the incident.
Saif, who underwent surgery to remove a knife lodged in his neck, is on the path to recovery. Medical professionals anticipate his discharge by January 21, noting his steady progress. As investigations continue, the motive behind the attack remains unclear until the suspect is captured. The authorities continue their efforts to bring the perpetrator to justice.
