Violent Sheffield Attack Leads to Jail Time for Runaway Shooter

SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND – A man involved in a violent attack at a house in Sheffield, which left three individuals injured, has finally been apprehended after six months on the run. Thomas Fenlon, 36, and his brother, Michael Fenlon, engaged in the assault, with Thomas firing a BB gun at a window before proceeding to attack the occupants inside.

During the attack on Landseer Close last September, a man was repeatedly stabbed in the head, while a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl endured violent acts. The violence caused significant trauma to the victims, with the teenagers’ lives drastically impacted by the events of that evening.

Following the incident, Sheffield Crown Court was informed about the deliberate targeting of the property by the brothers. The 35-year-old victim suffered severe injuries, while the teenagers experienced harrowing moments, including a prolonged attack on one of them and the other having a chair thrown at them.

Although Michael Fenlon was swiftly arrested after fleeing the scene, Thomas managed to elude authorities until he voluntarily surrendered to the police in March. In court, it was revealed that Michael had already been sentenced to eight years and six months in prison for his role in the attack.

Thomas Fenlon, residing on Mawfa Avenue in Sheffield, has now been sentenced to seven years behind bars for charges related to possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear, inflicting grievous bodily harm, and two counts of assault causing bodily harm. Additionally, a 10-year restraining order has been issued, prohibiting him from contacting the victims or any witnesses from the case.

Detective Constable Megan Pryce expressed concern over the violent nature of the assault, emphasizing the detrimental impact it had on the child victims. The siblings’ actions were deemed callous and aggressive, leaving a lasting mark on those involved. The victims, particularly the teenagers, were described as extremely distressed and shaken by the events that transpired that fateful evening.
