Violent Night: Fatal Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Injured in Prince George’s County

Capitol Heights, Md. – A violent night in Prince George’s County resulted in one fatality and three individuals sustaining gunshot wounds, further adding to the high crime rate in the area. The incidents occurred at multiple locations, including a convenience store on Randall Road and Silver Hill Road where a man was found dead from gunshot wounds.

Law enforcement responded to another shooting incident on Sheriff Road in Capital Heights, where three individuals were shot outside a food mart and gas station. The victims were found at different locations, with one at the scene, another on Farmingdale Avenue, and the third in northeast Washington on Minnesota Avenue.

FOX 5’s Melanie Alnwick reported that the shooting on Silver Hill Road marked the twentieth homicide in Prince George’s County for the year, with ten of those homicides occurring in the current month. Authorities confirmed that all three victims in the Capital Heights shooting sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incidents, including whether multiple suspects were involved or if more than one firearm was used.
