Violent Domestic Incident in St. Johnsbury Leaves Two Dead and Others Injured

St. Johnsbury, Vermont – Authorities are currently investigating a tragic incident that took place early Sunday morning in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.

According to Vermont State Police, officers from the St. Johnsbury Police Department responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Cottage Street around 5:50 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered one individual deceased and several others with visible injuries. Tragically, a second person who was being treated for critical injuries at a hospital in New Hampshire has also passed away.

Authorities have reassured the public that this was an isolated incident, with no ongoing threat to the community as all individuals involved were acquainted with each other and have been identified. Everyone partaking in the unfortunate event is believed to be from the St. Johnsbury area, as stated by state police. Initial findings from the investigation suggest that the incident stemmed from a case of domestic violence.
