SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – Two separate shootings resulted in the deaths of two men late Friday and early Saturday, leaving the San Antonio Police Department with ongoing investigations.
The first shooting occurred in the 200 block of Victor Street outside an apartment complex on the Northeast Side. According to preliminary reports, a 38-year-old man was fatally shot in the head after multiple individuals surrounded his vehicle and demanded his keys. The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries. The suspects also stole the man’s vehicle before fleeing the scene. Police were unable to locate the vehicle or the individuals involved in the robbery.
A few hours later, another shooting was reported in the 700 block of Pennystone Avenue near Highland Hills Elementary School on the Southeast Side. Police found a 26-year-old man with gunshot wounds on the front porch of a home. The circumstances of the shooting remain unknown and there are no known suspects.
The investigations into both shootings are ongoing. The police are treating the first shooting as a capital murder case due to the fatal outcome of the alleged robbery. No further details have been released at this time.
