The medical examiner ruled her death as a homicide, sparking outrage and calls for justice.
Local authorities reported that Starr Brown was found with a fatal gunshot wound after a call was made to the police at 9.30am on April 19. A suspect, identified as Alexavier Williamson, a co-worker of Brown at a Cordova restaurant, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with her death.
