Threatening Online Document Leads to Third Student Charged in Fort Worth Middle School Attack Plan

Fort Worth, Texas – A third student at a middle school in far north Fort Worth has been charged with creating and editing an online document detailing a planned attack against students and staff, according to Northwest Independent School District officials.

Following a tip from a parent on May 1 during school hours, officials discovered a disturbing document containing plans to attack Wilson Middle School, listing 25 students and seven staff members as targets. Two students were initially arrested with pending felony charges, with a third student later being identified as responsible for the threatening document.

Under the Northwest ISD Discipline Management Plan, students charged with a felony terroristic threat may face placement in the District Alternative Education Program for a specified period. The school district emphasized its commitment to ensuring a safe learning environment for all students and staff.

In response to the incident, additional security measures have been implemented at Wilson Middle School. An armed security guard will actively monitor the campus, and a school resource officer from the Fort Worth Police Department will be present. Counselors will also be available to support students in the aftermath of the threat.

It was reported that students who stayed home due to safety concerns would have their absences excused, and any suspicious activity should be promptly reported to school administrators. The district encouraged transparency and community involvement by providing an online tip line for concerns.
