Telangana Men Killed in Dubai Bakery Attack, Families Seek Justice

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Two men from Telangana tragically lost their lives in a violent attack at a bakery in Dubai on April 11, leaving another worker injured. The victims, identified as Ashtapu Premsagar and Srinivas, were targeted by a Pakistani national who reportedly shouted religious slogans during the assault, according to family members.

Premsagar, a 35-year-old from Soan village in Nirmal district, had worked at Modern Bakery LLC for several years. His uncle, A Poshetty, revealed that Premsagar was killed with a sword in the attack. Additionally, Srinivas, from Nizamabad district, was also fatally injured in the incident. Another worker, Sagar, sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment in a local hospital.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy expressed deep shock over the killings and has reached out to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar for support. Both Premsagar and Srinivas are mourned by their families and communities back in Telangana. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has pledged to expedite the repatriation of their bodies to India.

Bhavani, Sagar’s wife, confirmed that he is receiving necessary medical care and is in a stable condition. The attack at Modern Bakery LLC has sent shockwaves through the Indian community in Dubai, prompting calls for justice and swift action from authorities. The Indian consulate in Dubai is actively engaging with local law enforcement to ensure a thorough investigation into the incident.

Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar also expressed sorrow over the tragic killings, urging for prompt action to bring the perpetrators to justice. The brutal nature of the attack has raised concerns about the safety and security of Indian expatriates in Dubai and the need for enhanced measures to protect workers in the bustling city. The support extended by the Indian government and officials to the families of the victims has been met with gratitude and appreciation during this difficult time.
