FRESNO, Calif. – A 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody on suspicion of homicide after the death of his parents in Fresno County, as reported by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
The parents, Se Vang and Lue Yang, both 37, were found dead and an 11-year-old girl, their daughter, was injured in their home on Wednesday in what was initially described as a violent incident.
The teenager also injured his sister and falsely claimed that an intruder had attacked their family. However, investigations revealed that the 14-year-old had fabricated the break-in story and was responsible for using multiple weapons in the attack on his family members.
Authorities are still searching for weapons believed to be used in the attack at the property near Miramonte.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear. Sheriff Zanoni expressed the magnitude of the tragedy, stating that “the action of one sibling has resulted in the loss of both parents for the two children.”
Detective Aurelio Flores can be reached at (559) 600-8208 for anyone with further information about the incident.
