Suspect in Florida Triple Homicide Shot and Killed in Georgia Shootout

Bradenton, Florida – A suspect involved in a triple homicide case in Florida was fatally shot by officers after a confrontation, as he was headed to Georgia with intentions of targeting another individual. The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Javontee Brice, was linked to a shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of two women on Monday night, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Brice allegedly shot and killed his own mother before fleeing the scene. Additionally, a 48-year-old woman was found deceased at a Motel 6 location in Manatee County following reports of gunfire.

Shortly after the initial incidents, law enforcement responded to another shots fired call in Palmetto, where a 29-year-old woman sitting in a parked SUV was shot and later succumbed to her injuries despite efforts by authorities. Brice was also identified as the suspect in this case, according to officials.

Later that evening, Brice was implicated as the gunman who shot a woman in the face at a residence in Bradenton, resulting in her death at a local hospital. A statewide BOLO alert was issued for Brice’s vehicle, leading to his sighting in Hamilton County near the Florida-Georgia state line.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Brice engaged in a shootout with Hamilton County deputies, ultimately leading to his fatal shooting by law enforcement officers. Homicide detectives revealed that Brice was en route to Georgia with the intention of targeting another individual.

The identities of the victims involved in the shootings were not disclosed by the authorities, and their connections to Brice, aside from his mother, remain unclear.
