Suspect in Bucks County Triple Homicide Captured After Barricade in NJ Home

FALLS TWP., Pennsylvania – Suspect Andre Gordon, accused of fatally shooting three family members in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, was apprehended after being barricaded in a home in Trenton, New Jersey, according to authorities.

Gordon, 26, was found barricaded at a residence on Phillips Avenue in Trenton but was captured at a different location shortly before 5:30 p.m. after surrendering peacefully, as confirmed by Trenton police director Steve Wilson. It was reported that Gordon managed to escape the perimeter before it was established.

Witnesses stated that the suspect was walking on New York Avenue when he was stopped, identified, and taken into custody by law enforcement. Fortunately, he was unarmed at the time of his capture. Police are continuing to search the home and the vehicle that Gordon carjacked for the weapon used in the fatal shootings.

Residents inside the barricaded home and neighboring houses were evacuated without injuries, with a total of 10 to 12 individuals being escorted out, including a toddler and an elderly woman. It was mentioned that some had to be rescued through upstairs windows, emphasizing the chaos and urgency of the situation.

The tragic events unfolded early Saturday morning when Gordon allegedly carjacked a woman in Trenton and stole her vehicle to travel to Bucks County. Upon arrival, he shot and killed two individuals in a home on Viewpoint Lane in Levittown. The victims were identified as his stepmother, 52-year-old Karen Gordon, and his 13-year-old sister, Kera Gordon.

Additionally, another 13-year-old, along with two others, managed to evade Gordon’s search for them by hiding in the same residence. Authorities later located Gordon at another address on Edgewood Lane, where he fatally shot 25-year-old Taylor Daniel and assaulted her mother with an assault rifle before fleeing.

After a brief carjacking, Gordon was found in Trenton with ties to the area and is believed to be homeless. The motive behind the attacks remains unclear, with officials stating that his prior minor infractions with the law did not suggest such violent behavior.

Communities impacted by the tragic events expressed shock and disbelief at Gordon’s actions, with residents recalling positive memories of him as a boxer and struggling to reconcile his alleged actions. Meanwhile, the deadly shootings prompted the cancellation of the Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day Parade, leaving locals saddened by the loss of life and disruption of festivities.

As investigations continue, authorities urge anyone with information on the incident to come forward. The impacted communities are left grappling with the aftermath of the violent events, seeking understanding and healing in the wake of the tragedy.
