Gwadar, Pakistan – A tragic incident unfolded in Gwadar district as a soldier was martyred and 16 others, including an officer, were injured in what the military described as unprovoked assaults by violent protesters. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) revealed that Security Forces personnel in Gwadar were targeted by a violent mob posing as ‘Baloch Raji Muchi.’
The ISPR reported the loss of Sepoy Shabbir Baloch, 30, from district Sibi, who tragically embraced martyrdom during the violent clashes. Additionally, the military condemned the dissemination of false and edited content on social media to manipulate public opinion in favor of the unlawful violent demonstrations.
Despite facing provocations, the security forces exercised immense restraint to prevent civilian casualties amidst the chaos. The ISPR vowed to hold those responsible for the violent actions of the mob accountable, emphasizing the importance of upholding peace and order in the region.
In a plea to the public, the ISPR urged citizens not to be swayed by misleading propaganda and instead cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety. The security forces of Pakistan reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the peace and stability of Balochistan, standing in unity with the nation against any attempts to disrupt the region’s tranquility.
