Eastpointe, Michigan — A 19-year-old woman is poised to turn herself in to authorities following a deadly shooting that occurred outside a Foot Locker store on Saturday. The incident left two men dead and two others injured, prompting significant police involvement and ongoing investigations.
Authorities have yet to publicly disclose the woman’s identity; however, her attorney reached out to the Eastpointe Police Department to arrange her surrender. As of now, no charges have been filed, but the case is under review by the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
The shooting unfolded in the parking lot of the Foot Locker at the intersection of Kelly and Eight Mile roads. Witnesses report that the violence erupted from a dispute between two groups who were familiar with one another. According to police, the suspect retrieved a firearm from a vehicle and opened fire, fleeing the scene shortly thereafter.
In the aftermath, two men were pronounced dead—one at the scene and another later in the hospital. The other two victims were also transported to medical facilities, where they are receiving treatment.
