Shooting at Indianapolis Bar Leaves One Dead and Five Injured as Investigation Continues

Indianapolis, Indiana – A shooting inside a bar in Indianapolis has left one person dead and five others injured. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning at an establishment on the 800 block of Broad Ripple Avenue. Police officers present in the area at the time heard gunshots coming from the bar and quickly responded to the scene.

Upon arriving at the bar, officers found five adult male victims with gunshot wounds. Police provided immediate first aid, and victims were subsequently transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Tragically, one male victim succumbed to his injuries, while another victim managed to take himself to a hospital for medical attention following the altercation.

Homicide and aggravated assault detectives from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) are actively investigating the shooting. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency is also assisting in collecting forensic evidence at the scene. Additionally, the Marion County Coroner’s Office is involved in determining the cause of death for the deceased victim.
