Shooting at Doral Martini Bar Leaves Two Dead and Seven Wounded in Florida State

Doral, Florida – Two individuals lost their lives, and seven others, including a police officer, were injured in a tragic shooting incident that occurred at a martini bar in Doral, Florida. The altercation took place in the early hours of Saturday at the CityPlace Doral mall.

According to Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta, the confrontation unfolded around 3:30 am when a disturbance erupted at the Florida bar. Amid the chaos, a security guard attempted to intervene, only to be fatally shot by an unnamed man who brandished a firearm. In response, two off-duty police officers serving as security personnel engaged the assailant in gunfire, resulting in the demise of the shooter.

Doral Police Chief Edwin Lopez disclosed that one of the officers, a seasoned four-year veteran, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg during the exchange but managed to apply a tourniquet to himself. Furthermore, six bystanders, consisting of five men and a woman, were also struck by gunfire. While the injured officer has been discharged from the hospital, the six bystanders remain hospitalized, with two of them in critical condition.

Residents in the vicinity recounted harrowing experiences, with witness William Suedois describing a rapid succession of gunshots that left the community shaken.
