Security Guard Killed in Shootout at CityPlace Doral Bar

Doral, Florida – A tragic incident unfolded at CityPlace Doral when a security guard lost his life in a confrontation that led to a shootout with the suspect on Saturday. Identified as 23-year-old George Alejandro Castellanos, the security guard was fatally shot by 37-year-old Jamal Wayne Wood at Martini Bar, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

According to Miami-Dade Police, the altercation inside the bar escalated when Castellanos intervened, resulting in his tragic death. Doral Police officers arrived at the scene and engaged in a confrontation with Wood, ultimately leading to the suspect being shot and killed. During the exchange of gunfire, one officer sustained a gunshot wound to the lower extremity and was hospitalized in stable condition.

In addition to the fatalities and injuries, five bystanders were also wounded during the incident. Lester Williams Gonzalez, Frank Miguel Jerez, Yaniris Jerez, Sonia Munoz Torres, and Gerard Patrick Delaney were identified as the injured parties, with one victim in critical condition while the others were listed as stable.
