NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A recent arrest has shed light on the tragic shooting incident that resulted in the death of an armed security guard outside a bar on Murfreesboro Pike. The Metro Nashville Police Department announced that 18-year-old Quinton Sullivan was taken into custody on charges related to the homicide and vehicle burglary connected to the incident. This arrest comes after another suspect, 19-year-old Isaiah Moore, was also apprehended in connection to the same crime.

According to authorities, the investigation revealed that Sullivan, Moore, and another individual were engaged in car burglaries in the bar’s parking lot when the security guard, Maurice Thomas Jr., confronted them. Thomas was fatally shot multiple times during the encounter and was later pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Surveillance footage captured the suspects fleeing the scene in a maroon Chevrolet Cruze, providing crucial evidence for the case.

As the investigation continues, local residents are demanding justice for Maurice Thomas Jr. and are calling for greater vigilance against criminal activities in the area. The arrests of both Sullivan and Moore have offered some relief to the community, but many are still grappling with the senseless violence that occurred outside Illuzion Bar & Lounge.
