Scots Gladiator Champion Overcomes Domestic Abuse to Inspire Others to Fitness Success

Dundee, Scotland – Sheli McCoy, known as Gladiator Scot Sabre, has opened up about her journey from surviving domestic abuse to becoming a champion in fitness. The gym owner shared her experience of being attacked by an ex-partner in her early twenties, which led to a restraining order against him and left her with two black eyes.

Following the abuse, McCoy found herself turning to food for comfort, resulting in weight gain and unhappiness. However, she made a commitment to herself to become strong, eventually becoming a Scottish CrossFit and weightlifting champion.
