Road Rage Murder Suspect Arrested in Houston Shooting Case of Ricardo Vega

HOUSTON, TEXAS – A man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a father of two during an alleged road rage incident. Osman Estanly Solorzano Sanchez, 32, faces charges of murder in the death of Ricardo Vega, 27. Vega was discovered deceased in his vehicle at a stop sign on West Canino Road near the North Freeway in north Houston on April 15.

Sanchez is also accused of tampering with evidence by attempting to change the appearance of his truck to avoid detection following the shooting. Last week, Vega’s mother, Victoria Garcia, made a heartfelt plea for the person responsible to come forward.

“I am grateful for the 27 years God allowed me to have with him. My son did not deserve what you did, because you knew what you were doing,” Garcia said in an interview with KHOU 11 News. Vega leaves behind an 8-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son.

Funeral services for Vega took place at the Guardian Angel Funeral Home in north Houston over the weekend. Garcia shared that her son’s smile had the ability to illuminate a room, providing her with strength during this difficult time.

The tragic incident highlights the dangers of road rage and the devastating impact it can have on families. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Vega’s death, urging anyone with information to come forward. Sanchez remains in custody as the legal process unfolds.

As the community mourns the loss of Vega, loved ones are left grappling with the reality of his untimely passing. The case serves as a somber reminder of the importance of safe driving practices and the consequences of escalating conflicts on the road.
