RNC Makes a Stand: Campaigns for 2024 Pre-Election Votes

The Republican National Committee is refocusing efforts on the 2024 presidential election to increase turnout through absentee ballots and early voting in person.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is launching a nationwide effort called ‘Bank Your Vote,’ which aims to inform, motivate, and rally Republican voters to cast their vote as soon as possible by utilizing early voting, absentee voting, and ballot harvesting (in states that allow such practices).

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel said to beat Joe Biden and the Democrats in 2024; she wants to ensure that Republicans bank as many pre-Election Day votes as possible.

McDaniel reaffirmed the RNC’s commitment to collaborating with all parts of the Republican ecosystem to expand the party’s voter base in every state.

Every Republican campaign in the country, according to McDaniel, should prioritize early vote banking, and the Republican National Committee will be at the forefront of this effort.

Richard Hudson, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, chose Florida Representative Byron Donalds and Montana Senator Bill Hagerty, both Republicans, to co-chair the initiative.

Rep. Byron Donalds, who is co-chairing the RNC’s ‘Bank Your Vote’ campaign to motivate Republicans to vote early, expressed his satisfaction with the role.

According to Sen. Bill Hagerty, for Republicans to succeed in taking back the House and the Senate in 2024, they must play by today’s rules and do everything they can to bank votes before Election Day. In addition, Hagerty declared that the Republicans couldn’t let the Democrats pull ahead without seizing as many vote-banking opportunities as possible in swing states.

To prevent fraud and regain government control, Hagerty urged Republicans to ‘Bank Your Vote’ securely.

The initiative is part of the GOP’s effort to build on its advantages in early voting in the 2022 election. Republicans were more likely to vote early this election than in 2020. However, the Republicans are still falling behind the Democrats.

In November 2022, registered Republicans accounted for 33.3% of early voters in states that publish such data, according to the U.S. Election Project data. That was up from 30.5% in the 2020 presidential election, while early voting among Democrats remained steady at 40.6% in 2020 and 2022.

The ‘Bank Your Vote’ initiative would expand upon the work of the Republican National Committee’s Election Integrity program, which now employs over 80,000 people.

An RNC official stated that, in court, the party would continue to challenge unconstitutional ballot harvesting laws and work to make voting simple and committing voter fraud in American elections more complex.

According to the RNC, the success of its ‘Protect Your Vote’ campaign will be crucial in encouraging people to cast their ballots early in the election process. Poll watchers will be trained by RNC employees and lawyers who will be present to ensure the integrity of the entire electoral process.

Voters are encouraged to ‘pledge to bank’ their votes on the campaign website, BankYourVote.com. Doing so will trigger electronic reminders from the RNC about all available early-voting alternatives.

The RNC will partner with state parties and campaigns to develop pages detailing pre-Election Day voting processes for all states and territories, including links to state government sites where voters can request ballots directly.

The RNC also intends to court minority voters at RNC Community Centers and young voters on social media. These community centers were established nationwide to increase participation among the nation’s Asian-Pacific American, Black, and Hispanic groups.

During the 2020 and 2022 election cycles, the RNC’s field operation reportedly made more than 300 million phone calls and door knocks thanks to the help of volunteers.
