Norwich Teens Accused of Attempted Murder and GBH After Violent Attack on Innocent Men

Norwich, England – Two teenagers, aged 17 and 16, are facing serious charges after an incident in Norwich in the early hours of April 6. The 17-year-old is accused of attempted murder, while the 16-year-old has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. Additionally, both teenagers are accused of possession of a bladed article.

According to reports from Norwich Magistrates’ Court, the two teenagers allegedly attacked two men on Prince of Wales Road, leaving them with life-changing injuries. The victims were reportedly on their way to get takeaway food after leaving a nightclub when they inadvertently bumped into the youths, leading to a violent altercation.

Prosecutors described the incident as a “horrific and violent attack on two innocent men over a nothing encounter.” One of the victims was stabbed multiple times, while the other was chased towards the city center and sustained “very significant head injuries.”

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that neither teenager entered pleas to the charges, with the case being adjourned to Norfolk Youth Court on April 10. The 17-year-old, who was apprehended at Norwich rail station following the attacks, was remanded to custody until the hearing. The 16-year-old, accompanied by his mother in court, was arrested by security personnel outside the Sugar and Spice venue and was granted bail with certain conditions.

A third teenage boy, who has not been charged, has been released on bail pending further investigations until July 3. The community is left shocked by the senseless violence that occurred, with authorities working diligently to bring justice to the victims and hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions.
