SAO PAULO, Brazil – The body of 26-year-old Brazilian YouTuber Henrique Medeiros, also known as Carlos Henrique Pires Medeiros, was discovered in a shallow grave behind a residence on December 30, five days after he went missing. Medeiros was last seen after having dinner with a neighbor/friend on Christmas Eve and was reported missing the following day when his family did not hear from him. Before his disappearance, he sent a lighthearted message to his family on their WhatsApp group.
On December 30, following a five-day search, Medeiros’ body was found buried in a shallow grave in the backyard of the home where he was last seen. Police are searching for the neighbor and friend who last had dinner with Medeiros on Christmas Eve.
A manhunt is underway for the suspected killer after Medeiros’ body was found in a makeshift grave at the neighbor’s residence near Sao Paulo. The suspect reportedly spent Christmas Eve with Medeiros prior to his death and was interviewed by a local TV station, claiming that the YouTuber was “completely normal” after returning home from dinner.
Medeiros was a popular social media influencer known for pranking his friends, family, and neighbors on YouTube. Brazilian media initially speculated that his disappearance could be linked to his content, which involved pranking his neighbors. However, his family confirmed that his neighbors had consented to the pranks before they were filmed.
The motive for the murder remains unclear, but the police are continuing to investigate the case as Medeiros’ family mourns his tragic death.
