Murdered Glenn Quinn’s Sister Calls for Punishment of Killers as PSNI Seeks New Information

Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland – The sister of Glenn Quinn, who was tragically murdered four years ago, has called for justice as the PSNI launches a renewed appeal for information on his killing. Mr. Quinn was found dead in his home in Ashleigh Park in Carrickfergus on January 4, 2020. According to police, he was attacked by a group of men at some point during the preceding Thursday and Friday.

In a shocking and brutal attack, Quinn, a defenseless man, was left to die from serious injuries, including multiple rib fractures. His sister, Lesley Murphy, described him as a kind-hearted gentleman and pleaded with the community to come forward with any information. The Quinn family’s heartache continues as they enter another year without seeing those responsible brought to justice.

As the fourth anniversary of Quinn’s death passes, the reward for information has increased to £40,000, with £20,000 offered by the charity Crimestoppers and an additional £20,000 from an anonymous donor. The Quinn family, along with the community, have been deeply affected by the loss of Glenn, who was well-known and well-liked.

Despite the passage of time, Detective Inspector Gina Quinn emphasized the importance of speaking up, reassuring potential witnesses that information can be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously. The appeal for justice remains urgent as the community seeks closure and resolution for an innocent life taken too soon.

The PSNI is urging anyone with information to come forward and help bring closure to the Quinn family, reminding them that the reward will only be payable for information passed directly to Crimestoppers and emphasizing the guarantee of complete anonymity. Remembering Glenn Quinn and doing the right thing is the focal point of this renewed appeal.
