Murder Suspect Sought in Brutal Stabbing of Social Justice Advocate in Brooklyn NYC

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK – Police in New York City are on the lookout for a suspect involved in the fatal stabbing of a man near a bus stop in Brooklyn early on Monday. The victim, Ryan Carson, 31, a prominent social justice advocate, tragically lost his life after being stabbed multiple times in the chest.

According to the police, Carson and his girlfriend were waiting at the bus stop when the suspect walked past them and began to vandalize scooters. An altercation ensued, during which the suspect confronted Carson and ultimately attacked him with a knife.

The suspect stabbed Carson three times, with one of the stabs piercing his heart, according to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny. As Carson lay dying on the sidewalk, the suspect kicked him in the chest, threatened to stab Carson’s companion, and even spat in her face.

The NYPD released a photo of the unidentified male suspect and is currently seeking information from the public to make an arrest. Prior to the attack, the suspect was reportedly acting agitated and was seen talking to a woman believed to be his girlfriend.

Carson, a longtime campaign organizer for the New York Public Interest Research Group, was known for his passionate advocacy for various social and environmental causes. His tragic death has left many in shock, including New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who described the incident as “unthinkable.”
