JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. – Authorities in Jefferson County have arrested a 35-year-old woman in connection with the fatal shooting of Anthony Dewain Word on September 10, 2023. According to Lt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Daysha Nicole Bennett has been charged with murder in relation to the incident that took place on Dewey Heights Road.
