Murder Charges Filed Against Berwyn Woman in Rockford Car Salesman’s Death

Chicago, Illinois – A Berwyn woman has been charged in connection with the death of a Rockford car salesman back in February. Rosie Chavez, 46, is facing charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping in the case of 36-year-old Crisóforo Osorio-González.

Osorio-González was discovered shot to death on February 10 in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. He was a part-owner of Twenty First Auto Sales in Rockford. Family members of Osorio-González became concerned when they hadn’t heard from him after taking customers on a test drive, prompting them to report him missing.

Following an autopsy conducted by the Cook County Coroner, it was determined that Osorio-González had been killed by gunshots to his head and back. Authorities also located the car that was used in the test drive in Chicago, but there were no signs of any other individuals in the vehicle.

Chavez was taken into custody on March 22 by Chicago police. In response to the tragic incident, a GoFundMe fundraiser has raised over $3,500 for Osorio-González’s family to help with expenses.
