Manhunt underway for suspect accused of robbing Subway after alleged murder and arson in Mississippi

WILKINSON CO., Miss. – A suspect wanted for the shooting, killing, and setting an elderly woman on fire has been accused of robbing a Subway in Wilkinson County, Mississippi. Sammy Patrick is wanted for capital murder after allegedly robbing a Subway while armed in Wilkinson County according to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect is also accused of murdering the elderly woman on Saturday in the 3000 block of Old Jackson Road. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office reported that Patrick was seen robbing a Subway in Wilkinson County while armed. Woodville Police Chief Lemuel Rutledge stated that the armed robbery occurred at a Subway off Highway 61, and Patrick was later seen getting gas at a Shell gas station.

The stolen vehicle that Patrick is driving is a dark-colored Ford Ranger, and he was last seen traveling north on Highway 61 towards Natchez. Mississippi Highway Patrol, Louisiana State Police, and other agencies in that area are currently searching for Patrick.

Authorities have also stated that the vehicle Patrick is driving was reported stolen on Old Highway 21 and has a disabled tag with the number DBW5119.
