LOS ANGELES – Former “Beverly Hills 90210” actor Ian Ziering found himself in the midst of a shocking daytime altercation with a group of mini-bike riders in Hollywood on New Year’s Eve. Ziering, 59, took to Instagram to share details of the incident, expressing concern over the safety of his 10-year-old daughter who was in the car with him.
“While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders leading to an unsettling confrontation,” Ziering recounted. “In an attempt to assess any damage, I exited my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself.”
Video footage of the altercation shows Ziering in a scuffle with the bikers before fleeing to safety on Hollywood Boulevard. Following the incident, Ziering expressed his relief that both he and his daughter were unharmed but highlighted the growing boldness of such disruptive groups and the need for effective law enforcement responses.
Ziering’s ex-wife, Erin Ludwig, also took to Instagram to address the altercation, emphasizing the need for privacy and correcting misinformation regarding their daughters’ involvement. Meanwhile, sources revealed that Ziering is “doing okay” after the incident as authorities continue to investigate the altercation.
The incident involving Ziering marked the final chapter in what has been a challenging year for members of the “Beverly Hills, 90210” cast, including Shannen Doherty’s health struggles and personal battles. Despite the trauma of the altercation, Ziering expressed his gratitude for the support of his family, friends, and fans during the challenging time.
