“Manhunt” for Killer of 70-Year-Old Grandmother in Ipswich Shopping Centre

BRISBANE, Australia – Queensland police are intensifying their search for the perpetrator responsible for the fatal stabbing of a 70-year-old grandmother at a shopping center in Ipswich. Vyleen White was brutally attacked in front of her 6-year-old granddaughter in a violent robbery at the Redbank Plains Shopping Centre. The Premier, Steven Miles, has described the incident as an “abhorrent crime.”

The police were called to the scene around 6:30 pm after receiving reports of a serious assault. Upon arrival, they found Ms. White lying in a pool of blood, prompting the detectives to launch a full-scale investigation. Detective Acting Superintendent Heath McQueen stated that they will not rest until the offender or offenders are identified and brought to justice.

The police have released an image of a vehicle of interest that was driven away from the shopping center after the incident.
