Juvenile Beaten and Bloody in Franklin Co.: Suspects Apprehended for Violent Attack

Franklin County, Pennsylvania – In a disturbing incident of violence, authorities have arrested suspects in connection with a brutal attack that left a juvenile severely beaten and bloodied. The main suspect, 18-year-old Kendill Raleigh, was apprehended after a young victim was found stripped and injured in Franklin County on May 12th. The Washington County Sherrif’s Office later took Raleigh and two other suspects into custody on May 20th.

Upon receiving reports of an assault involving a juvenile aged 12 to 15 years old, Waynesboro Police officers swiftly responded to the scene on the 100 block of East North Street. The victim was discovered lying in the street, battered and bleeding from the head, disoriented and unaware of the events surrounding them.

Emergency medical services were called to the scene and determined that the victim’s injuries were severe enough to warrant transportation to Hershey Medical Center. The nature and extent of the injuries sustained were deemed serious, necessitating immediate medical attention.

As the investigation unfolded, video evidence surfaced implicating several other individuals in the violent attack. Per police reports, Raleigh and two other juvenile males were observed hiding in nearby bushes before ambushing and assaulting the victim in a savage manner, leaving the victim lying motionless and unresponsive on the ground.

The assailants were captured on video forcibly removing the victim’s clothing, dragging them by their pants, and callously pulling off their hoodie, causing the victim’s head to strike the ground. Even after the victim lost consciousness, the perpetrators continued to inflict physical harm upon them, resulting in facial and head injuries from the vicious assault.

Currently lodged in custody, Kendill Raleigh faces multiple charges, including felony-grade aggravated assault, robbery, reckless endangerment, and simple assault. Authorities have confirmed the identification and apprehension of all suspects involved in the heinous act and are awaiting the extradition of Raleigh and another suspect from Maryland to Pennsylvania.
