New Orleans — A homicide investigation is underway following a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday morning in the city’s Fifth District. Authorities received reports of gunfire shortly before 11 a.m. in the 2100 block of Feliciana Street.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered an adult male unresponsive in the backyard of a residential property. Emergency medical services pronounced him dead at the scene. The police quickly classified the case as a homicide.
Investigators are currently collecting evidence and seeking information that might lead to identifying a suspect or suspects involved in the incident. They are also working to determine the motive behind the attack.
