Fire Injures Multiple in West Toledo Home Explosion

TOLEDO, Ohio – Multiple non-life-threatening injuries occurred in a fire at a home in west Toledo overnight Saturday. The exact number of people injured is unknown at this time, but they are occupants of the home, according to Toledo fire crews at the scene on Sylvan Ridge Dr. off of Alexis Road.

The fire department reported that there was an explosion in the garage of the home, with most of the fire coming from the attic. The incident resulted in partial damage to the home, while the surrounding homes were not affected.

The cause of the fire remains unclear and is currently under investigation.
