Feud between Chandragiri TDP MLA and YSRCP Ex-MLA Escalates Over Alleged ‘Stage-Managed’ Attack

Chandragiri, Andhra Pradesh – The ongoing dispute between Chandragiri TDP MLA Pulivarthi Nani and former MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy of the YSR Congress Party reached a new height on Sunday. Reddy presented medical records disputing Nani’s claim of injuries sustained during an alleged attack on his car, labeling the incident as ‘stage-managed’.

Following the post-election violence in Chandragiri, where Nani’s vehicle was targeted while he was on his way to inspect EVMs in a strongroom, tensions between the two political figures have escalated. Nani accused YSRCP activists of attempting to kill him, leading to his hospitalization at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) for serious injuries. This resulted in the suspension of several police officials due to the unexpected attack.

However, Bhaskar Reddy refuted the allegations, asserting that the attack had no connection to the YSRCP. He backed his claim by presenting medical records from SVIMS, which reportedly indicated Nani’s condition as ‘normal’. The heated exchange between the rival parties culminated in Reddy accusing Nani of orchestrating the entire situation for sympathy.

In response to Reddy’s accusations, Nani and his spouse, Pulivarthi Sudha Reddy, held separate press conferences condemning Reddy’s attempt to downplay the severity of the alleged murder attempt. The feud took a personal turn when Reddy objected to his son, Chandragiri YSRCP candidate Chevireddy Mohith Reddy, being named as a suspect in the violence. Nani dismissed the accusations as unfounded, claiming that Reddy was trying to shield his son from potential arrest in connection to the attack.

The exchange of allegations and counter-accusations between the two camps has captured significant attention in Chandragiri, with the public closely following the developments as the feud continues to unfold. Both parties remain firm in their positions, setting the stage for further confrontation in the political landscape of the region.
