Fatal Multi-Car Collision in Martin County Leaves Three Dead and Three Injured

MARTIN COUNTY, Texas – A tragic multiple-car collision occurred on Tuesday, March 26 in Martin County, resulting in three fatalities and several injuries, according to a report released by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The report reveals that the incident involved a Nissan car and a Ford Coachman on IH-20, where 25-year-old Victor Craven Jr. from Waco, Texas, was driving. The driver of the Nissan reportedly swerved into Victor’s lane, causing him to crash into the center median and subsequently collide head-on with a Ford F-250, resulting in the deaths of Victor and two passengers in the Ford.

After the collision, the driver of the Ford F-250 was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, while 54-year-old Julio Lopez Leal from Mission, Texas, was also transported but sadly pronounced dead at the hospital. Additionally, 51-year-old Pedro Alvarez Ramirez from Midland was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bradshaw.

Following the crash, the driver of the Nissan struck a cable barrier and rolled over on its left side, leading to both occupants being transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Texas DPS has initiated an investigation into the incident, with no further details currently available.
