Richardson appeared in Henry County Court facing charges of murder, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and aggravated fleeing and eluding.

Prosecutors are alleging that Richardson intentionally struck Deputy Weist, while the defense argues that there was no intent to cause harm.
