Charges have been officially filed against 32-year-old Calvin Woods, who has been arrested in connection with the tragic incident.

Authorities have disclosed that Woods faces two counts of first-degree murder for his alleged involvement in the shooting that took place on August 28, 2023. The incident unfolded as police responded to a multi-vehicle crash on the inbound side of the Bishop Ford near Dolton Road around 7:27 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, troopers discovered Mackie in one of the crashed vehicles, where he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Sadly, Mackie was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. Another vehicle was found abandoned at the scene, with no occupants present.
